What is Bassline Yoga®?

Bassline Yoga® is a vinyasa flow based concept, that breaks traditional rules of yoga. We turn down the lights, and turn up the volume.

When you say “break the rules of traditional yoga”, what do you mean?

We believe in the traditions and ancient history of yoga, as well as the profound mental and physical benefits you get from a regular practice. Our founders and teachers have years of experience and hold qualifications by renowned yoga schools. Our classes are designed with a deep knowledge of the principles of ashtanga yoga (which is the foundation for vinyasa). Bassline Yoga® is not a rave or a fitness class, but a new and evolved form of yoga, with the aim to create the right mood and experience to support your flow.

What style of Yoga do
you teach?

Bassline Yoga® classes are vinyasa flow inspired. 

Vinyasa means "breath-synchronized movement” and has both physical and mental benefits. Physically, sweat releases toxins and re-energizes our bodies. Mentally, the synchronized breathing relaxes the mind and helps to release any blockages of energy flow throughout our bodies. Vinyasa is great for beginners, while it can also become vigorous and challenging for more advanced students.

We flow to the beat, and every track is hand selected by the founders to help
you tune in with yourself. You’ll feel the difference once the bass hits you!

We offer public and corporate classes, as well as sessions at events.

How long are the classes?

As a standard our classes are 60 minutes long, including a dynamic warm up and time for relaxation at the end. We offer 45, 75 or 90 minutes classes on request.

Can I do Bassine Yoga® 

if I’m a beginner?

Absolutely. Our classes are suited for all levels. Our aim is to enhance the yoga practice by getting rid of distractions and helping you focus on yourself and your own progress. For absolute beginners, we recommend to get started with “Detox” as it’s a slightly slower paced flow. However, in any class, adaptations and adjustments are offered, and we like positive challenge - without pushing you
over the limit.

I’m worried that I won’t see

the teacher in darkness :(

We have a couple of light cubes in the room that illuminate the teacher.
This means you’ll see any demonstrations, and just enough to flow in a safe
way. But it’s dark enough to not get distracted by what your neighbour does
or to get worried how your tummy looks in that awkward pose.

Tell me, what kind of music

do you use?

All our playlists have one thing in common - a deep bass, that enhances the flow and helps you tune in with yourself. For our DETOX class, we play minimal electro, as it has a meditative, calming effect. For our UPBEAT class, we use funky, dance-indusing house beat to lift the mood, and for EMPOWER we flow
to progressive house to keep you motivated. What’s really important to us is that we use music to complement the flow and not to disrupt.

Are your classes heated?

No. Our classes are based on dynamic vinyasa flow - so you’ll work up a nice sweat, without any additional heat.
